A Message from National Audubon...

"Thanks to you and your fellow compilers there has never been a larger, more passionate or diverse community of citizen scientists working under Audubon's umbrella.  Last holiday season bird watchers came out in record numbers to count birds to participate in Audubon's Christmas Bird Count - more than 70,000 people joined 2,369 count circles to take part in what may be the longest running animal census on the planet.
  

We hope you'll help keep the Christmas Bird Count alive and well by encouraging support from this year's participants.  Below is a link to a printable letter that we hope you will share with those in your count circle.  You can also just forward this email to those people that care about the Christmas Bird Count. 

The Christmas Bird Count relies 100% on donations to manage the historic database and to fund the technology to make that vital and historic data available to researchers.  And this year we are making it easy to give.
